While extracting stone at the Arucas quarry, Angel Rosario Hernandez watched the work of journeymen who carved the material. From them he learned his trade. After 15 years working in the quarries of Arucas, he established himself as an independent craftsman, taking full advantage of his gift of drawing that he had cultivated since his childhood. Blue stone from the Arucas quarry, yellow or red Ayagaures or brown Moya are the raw materials where this artisan sculpts his ideas.

A family business that has been over 40 years of operation. The restaurant is on the pass that lead to the summits of the island, it's beside the main road just as you are leaving Lanzarote. It's specialty is the meat in marinade, fried pork, but also offers other traditional dishes like Canarian stew, wrinkled potatoes (papas arrugadas) with mojo, local cheeses and other products of the area such as chestnuts, walnuts, apples, sweets, sausages, honey, etc.

This establishment belongs to the brothers of the Rogelio family, with a long tradition in Gran Canaria. This place has three rooms, one for smokers, large parking, playground and terrace with lovely views. It also offers a grill and an extensive wine cellar with 80 varieties of wines which are virtually all of Canarian origin as well as a variety of other countries.

Tras 15 años de trabajo en las canteras de Arucas, este artesano se estableció como autónomo, aprovechando el don del dibujo que poseía desde niño. Piedra azul de la cantera de Arucas, amarilla o roja de Ayagaures o marrón de Moya son la materia prima donde esculpe este artesano sus ideas. Su lema es “si usted lo puede pensar, yo lo puedo hacer”.
